Nick De Frietas NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Nick De Frietas is a New York City–based strength coach and the NYC Director of Training, with more than a decade of experience helping people get stronger, move better, and perform at their best. He holds a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Sports Performance from Ithaca College and carries some of the most respected credentials in the field, including the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Advanced USA Weightlifting Coach (USAW2) certifications.

Over 11+ years as a personal trainer and five years as an NCAA strength coach at NYU and Cornell, Nick has worked with everyone from collegiate athletes to everyday lifters looking to rebuild and progress. He's also competed at the highest level of his own sport, qualifying as a finalist at the 2019 USA Weightlifting American Open. That blend of elite competitive experience and hands-on coaching shapes how he trains clients — technically precise, but always grounded in what actually works.

His specialties span Olympic weightlifting, hypertrophy, sports performance, fat loss, aging fitness, and general strength training, allowing him to meet clients wherever they are and build a program around their specific goals.
